Rearcross were the visitors to Ballinree for this U-11 league encounter and came out on top against an understrength Ballymackey 'B' side. Rearcross going in search of their first league win of the campaign hit the front in the 6th minute when Cillian Kennedy's delivery from out on the right nestled in the far corner of the net. It was two nil in as many minutes when Danny Pozyer's strike from distance went all the way. Rearcross kept the pressure and stretched their advantage to three nil when Patrick Dawson latched on to a kick out to boot past the home side's custodian. Ballymackey kept plugging and weren't far away with an Adam Hall effort. Sean Malone got in on the action with a well struck free give to make it four nil to Rearcross in the 12th minute. A flowing move a minute later saw Stephen Rochford setting up Cillian Kennedy whose first time effort flew to the top corner. Patrick Dawson got his second of the outing after latching on to Cillian Kennedy's cross to tap over the line from close range. Patrick Dawson completed his hat-trick with a well worked goal minutes later. The second half was a more even affair as Ballymackey scored two well taken goals through Emmet O'Brien and Cillian Bergin. An in form Patrick Dawson then notched up his fourth before Stephen Rochford scored a smashing individual goal after waltzing through on the left wing to cap of a good showing from the visiting side and a first league win from three outings.
